Tom Brady Trademarks

Tom Brady is a former American football quarterback and is considered the most successful NFL (National Football League) quarterback of all time. Born in California on August 3rd, 1977 as Thomas Edward Partick Brady Jr, he played in the NFL for 23 seasons.

Brady was selected in the sixth round of the NFL draft in 2000, resulting in an overall 199th pick, which is now considered the NFL’s biggest draft steal. Brady played his first 20 seasons with the New England Patriots, becoming a key contributor to the franchise’s success from 2001 to 2019. He led them to 17 division titles, nine Super Bowl appearances, and six Super Bowl titles. He then played for the Tampa Buccaneers for his final three seasons, also leading them to win a Super Bowl.

The quarterback has a huge number of accolades to his name and holds nearly every major quarterback record. To name a few, he has won six Super Bowl Championships, four Super Bowl MVP Titles, three NFL MVP titles, most career passing yards, and is the NFL leader in career quarterback wins.

Brady also holds many titles for the longevity of his success including the oldest NFL MVP (age 40), oldest Super Bowl MVP (age 43), oldest quarterback to be selected to the Pro Bowl (age 44), and the only quarterback named to two all-decade teams.

The sports star retired from the NFL at the end of the final game of the 2022 season. Beginning in 2024, Brady will be the lead color commentator on Fox for the NFL.

Famous Tom Brady Trademarks

Being the most successful quarterback of all time, as well as a long-standing prosperous quarterback, it’s no surprise that Brady has developed a brand for himself. Not only has he been the face of many big names such as Tag Heuer, Aston Martin, Under Armour, Sam Adams, UGG, and Foot Locker, but the quarterback has also developed his own brand. Brady has registered 129 trademarks so far with USPTO. Let’s take a look at some of Tom Brady’s most famous trademarks, registered by TBD TM, LLC.

Wrapping up

Tom Brady is arguably the most successful NFL quarterback of all time, with a huge number of records and awards to back that up. During his longstanding prosperous career, he has built a stellar reputation and brand, as evidenced by his 129 registered trademarks.

However, it’s interesting to note that while this may seem like a lot of trademarks, Brady actually has very few trademarks – they’re primarily “TB12” branding, both his names “Brady” and “Tom Brady”, his charitable organization and a couple of slogans. The volume of the trademarks lies in what he’s covered. Brady has ensured each of his trademarks covers clothing, merchandise, food, drinks, fitness equipment, and much more.

The NFL star has also recently started “199 Productions” – a production company that aims to develop documentaries as well as other programming. The name is in reference to Brady being the 199th draft pick overall. However, he has not yet filed a trademark for this production company. With an estimated net worth of $512 million, it’s worth ensuring that all of his assets and IP are protected to save him in future legal battles. As most of his trademarks have been filed in recent years, this suggests that Brady and his team are now recognizing the importance of trademarking his assets.
